Amazon Parrot Wing Feather Necklace with Natural Seeds (Quail Eggs) Accented with Brass and Gold - FURUD
This necklace showcases two "stacked" 3-3-1/4" long naturally molted multi-colored Amazon parrot wing feather. Seeds resemble quail eggs.
Amazons are medium-size parrots native to the New World ranging from South America to Mexico and the Caribbean. Most Amazon parrots are predominantly green, with accenting colors that depend on the species and can be quite vivid. They are small birds so the wing feathers range from 4-6 inches long and shape and size vary. Only a
small percentage of their wing feathers has such bright colors. Since this feather was naturally molted, minor imperfection may be seen contributing to its uniqueness.
Feathers were collected from a local reputable exotic bird store. This is the same store that I have routinely taken our cockatiel to for clipping, toys, and food for several years.
Feathers hand washed in warm water with mild soap and thoroughly rinsed. Then rinsed again in warm water with a small drop of natural orange oil to give the feathers sheen and disinfect.
Necklace will be packaged with a small cedar ball which consists of 100% red cedar--a naturally self-renewing, non-endangered wood species. This completely natural product contains no added chemicals whatsoever, is environmentally friendly and absolutely safe to use. These aromatic balls effectively repel moths, mildew and mustiness.
Necklace is 17" long, including the 14/20 yellow gold magnetic barrel clasp.
